Domestic Violence against Native Women
Native Women remain among the most victimized groups of people within the United States. This presentation will explore the scope of the problem as it pertains to Domestic Violence against Native Women and will highlight the recent efforts of the United States Department of Justice to improve the prosecution of crimes of violence perpetrated against Native Women. Specific discussion will be had on the creation and goals of a special task force aimed at improving prosecutions of such crimes. Additionally the presentation shall highlight some of the ongoing issues federal issues impacting justice system responses to Domestic Violence against Native Women.
